Social Science activities (water)

In Social Science we have been learning a lot about water:
- the different bodies of water we can find on the Earth's surface (lakes, rivers, oceans...)
- the water cycle (evaporation, condensation, precipitation and collection)
- the states of water (liquid, solid or gas), and
- the changes of water from one state to another, through evaporation, condensation, melting and freezing.

We used Venn's diagrams to classify the bodies of water.

We observed underground water in a plastic glass and took notes about our observations, using an "I see / I think / I wonder" chart.

And finally we made some concept maps to review all the important facts we have learnt.

Good job, guys!!

Social Science activities (air and weather)

In Social Science, after learning about air pollution, we investigated at home using a plastic plate and some petroleum jelly, to catch all the pollution in the air around us. This is what we found in our plates after some days:

We also talked about the weather and presented the weather forecast.

Also in Fahrenheit degrees!

We are learning how to make mind maps, and we wrote all the words and ideas related to the four seasons (weather, clothes, activities...).
